While PowerSchool serves over 60 million students globally, it remains unclear how many individuals were directly impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, hackers claim to have stolen the personal data of approximately 62.4 million students and 9.5 million educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PowerSchool has started notifying affected individuals and regulatory authorities in compliance with legal requirements. In Maine alone, over 33,000 residents were confirmed to have been affected by the breach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is offering two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services to all impacted individuals, regardless of whether their SSNs were involved.
